Overview
This integration allows you to seamlessly create, update, and manage Tabular email designs and send them via Mailtrap Email Delivery Platform.
How it works
Mailtrap is a high-deliverability email platform for sending marketing, mass, and user-triggered emails. Tabular saves you time by making it easy to design high-performing emails people want to read. By combining the two, you streamline your marketing efforts: upload your Tabular emails to Mailtrap in one click and send them directly to recipients’ inboxes right away via Mailtrap.
How to export an email template to Mailtrap?
When logged-in in Mailtrap
- Navigate to Settings > API Tokens via the side menu in Mailtrap. You will find an overview of the API Tokens in your Mailtrap account.
- Click on the Add Token button to add a new API Token.
- Select the new API token to have Admin permissions for Account. Mailtrap requires these permissions when we want to create and update email templates to your Mailtrap account.
- Copy the token that is generated to your clipboard or temporarily store it somewhere. We will use this generated token in our next steps.
In Tabular
- Open the Tabular email you want to upload to Mailtrap
- Click on Use email in the upper-right corner of the email builder
- From the modal that appears, click on the Integrations tab
- Select Mailtrap from the available integrations options
- Give a name to your authorization
- Provide a template category name for your Mailtrap template, and paste the corresponding API token in the API token field
- Click Add authorization
- You now see your Mailtrap authorization has been added to your list of authorized integrations
- Click on the Connect to button and select templates from the dropdown.
- Tabular will now attempt to create an email template in your Mailtrap account that uses the Tabular email template
- If the template record was created successfully, you will see that an item has been added to the Your email is currently connected to list
- From this list you can click on Upload email to upload any new versions of your email to the Mailtrap template. This will overwrite the email template in the connected Mailtrap template. You can also click again on Connect to > transaction templates / transactional templates, to create a new template.
