How to connect Tabular to your HubSpot account

Open the Tabular editor for an email that you would like to use in HubSpot.

This will open up a secured wizard from HubSpot that you have to 

walk through to provide Tabular with permission to automatically upload email templates

You have now connected your Tabular account to your HubSpot account.

Read the next section to learn how to upload a Tabular email using your just created HubSpot authorization.

Add required HubSpot personalization variables

Before you are able to send your HubSpot email: make sure that you've added the required HubSpot personalisation variables. HubSpot will notify you about these tags before you can send your email.

Tags to include your company information, are all required by HubSpot to be present in your email template. Simply add these personalisation variables as text in your Tabular email:

Next to that, HubSpot requires you to include an Unsubscribe link in your email template.

Create a link that uses the HubSpot unsubscribe URL variable:

and select the text to make it a link. Alternatively, add a button block, and type 

 as the URL value of the link or button. This tag will print the URL of the page that allows recipients to manage subscription preferences or unsubscribe from email communications. Alternatively, use 

 as the URL value. This tag renders a link to unsubscribe from all email communications, as opposed to a link to manage subscription preferences.

After that, upload the email to your HubSpot account, to see that the email is now a valid HubSpot template. When HubSpot sends your email it will replace the personalisation variables with the values you set in 

Settings > Tools > Marketing > Email > Footer

How to connect Tabular to your Brevo account

You will see that you'll need a Brevo API key. This is a key that you can generate for your Brevo account through the Brevo dashboard.

Where will I find my email template in Brevo?

You will be able to find your templates in your Brevo dashboard under 

Important information: email appears broken in Postmark and how to fix it.

Postmark by default performs inlining of CSS in your templates, this results in unwanted changes to Tabular's HTML (because Tabular already performs all necessary inlining and optimisation).

Postmark performs inlining for example when you send a test email or check out the "Preview" in Postmark's user interface, and when you programmatically send out an email with a template (API) using their default settings.

When sending out your email with the template using the Postmark API, you'll have to explicitly set the 'InlineCss' parameter to 'false'. Setting the 'InlineCss' parameter to false fixes the issue that you've experienced of the breaking HTML.

For example, if you're using Postmark's NodeJS library the code would look something like this:

We think it's really unfortunate that Postmark doesn't provide an option to disable CSS inlining when sending a template test email or checking out the "preview", because it doesn't give a realistic preview for when you don't use their inlining. We've had contact with them about this, but the only solution for now is just to always set the 'InlineCss' parameter to false when programmatically sending the email.

How to connect your Postmark account to Tabular

You'll have to generate an API token for the server that you wish to send your Tabular emails from. Do this by navigating to your
